Paul Llovio is a retired Civil Affairs officer with over 23 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Army. Paul has over 15 years of overseas deployments and assignments throughout Africa, Asia, and Europe as a member of joint and multi-national headquarters, country teams, and tactical units. Operational deployments include Afghanistan, Chad, Djibouti, Iraq, Kenya, and Somalia. Paul also has recent notable regional experience in European geopolitics and deterrence, security cooperation, and civil-military operations as the Director of International Relations for seven years at the Army’s forward-assigned sustainment command in Europe. He holds a Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Conflict Management from Norwich University.
