Ismael Rodriguez is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with 22 years in the military, four years in commercial consulting, and two years as a university administrator.  He has extensive operational experience in intelligence, fires, effects, and mission command.  He specializes in intelligence training, exercise design, and making sense of complex operational environments.

Over his Army career, Ismael held intelligence leadership, planning, and liaison roles from the tactical to the strategic level.   While deployed, he has embedded into interagency intelligence fusion cells in Iraq, deconflicting conventional military operations with other government agencies.    He also served alongside civilian counterparts from the US State Department, USAID, and USDA to implement the national peace and reintegration program within Afghanistan's Wardak province.    He then returned to Afghanistan to consolidate and lead a large-scale NATO advisory mission to build partner-nation intelligence capacity.

Ismael currently supports the Mission Command Training Program, drawing on years of support to exercises at the brigade, joint, and theater level, including major multinational exercises across the Indo-Pacific theater and duty as an observer/controller-trainer for combined command post exercises in Japan and Korea.
