Program Highlight:

ATLAS LION 25-02 TTX (Beta Iteration)

Just executed in JUNE 2025!

A groundbreaking solution for CA Certification.

From 10-11 JUN 2025, Motive and the 91st CA BN (SO)(A), delivered a first-of-its-kind, AI-powered CA Company Certification tabletop exercise (TTX) called Atlas Lion 25-02. The TTX fulfilled the requirement to certify a Co on CA-specific, nuanced critical tasks and marked a proof of concept ready to scale to other BNs and cross-functional elements.

Highlights

Scenario Complexity: Motive created AI “context frames” for the base scenario that were tuned to exercise objectives, but capable of creating limitless complexity in response to training audience actions, while ensuring scenario coherence.

Scenario Dynamism: GenAI supported multimedia injects, including agentic bots that simulated characters in the scenario and media that enabled dynamic scripting on-the-fly.

Rigorous Analytics: Custom AI workflows took in 1000x data compared to a typical human Observer Controller (OC), analyzed training audience (TA) actions against a custom assessment rubric, and generated robust analytics reports on TA task proficiency, risk areas, and other actionable insights.

Minimal Manpower: The TTX model required zero dedicated OCs, minimal support from the sponsor unit, and a lean Motive delivery team capable of running the exercise while also simulating dozens of characters in the scenario.

Integration with Army Tools: The TTX ran in parallel to Army networks while enabling TA use of NIPR software and systems like MCS-COP and CamoGPT. This optimized for ease and security of TTX delivery while supporting use of legacy and emerging tools.

The 91st proved the concept, now it’s your turn, 92nd, 96th, 97th & 98th!

In addition to agentic AI characters, Atlas Lion featured live role players like Motive SME & former real-world SOTF CDR, COL (ret) John Maraia (above, standing) to ensure realism & responsiveness.

Typical military exercises rely on “go/no-go” scoring by human OCs limited to what they see or hear. Atlas Lion leveraged technology to ingest audio, visual, text, and graphic data from the TA, and AI + human SMEs to assign and adjudicate scores based on 1000s of data points for a far more rigorous and accurate training assessment.

Want to Sponsor this TTX or customize your own?

  • Motive can adapt this TTX by AO, echelon, mission, critical tasks, or cross-functional training audiences per unit needs.

  • Motive can execute Atlas Lion or similar TTXs with as short as a 2-month suspense and minimal manpower burn on you.

  • While the TTX featured above is perfect for CERTEXs and VALEXs, Motive also builds wargame-style TTXs to support experimentation, red teaming, and scenario-based planning. Perfect for informing options amidst big changes and re-orgs!
